Becoming a Pharmacy Technician in West Virginia
Those without certification can still register as a pharmacy technician trainee with the West Virginia Pharmacy Board. Trainees can work in on-the-job training for either two years or for 2,080 hours. Trainees can be under 18 years old. But that being said, they must finish a formal accredited training from an academic institution or in a pharmacy. Step 2: Complete and Graduate from the Approved Program
To earn a CPHT certification from taking the National Healthcareer Association or the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board, you have to pass approved pharmacy tech training. Once you do, you can register for the certification exam with the test provider you choose.
Step 3: Pass the PTCE or the ExCPT Certification Exam
The title of Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is given to all those who pass approved training and then pass either the ExCPT or the PTCE examinations.
