The Simplified Steps Process for Becoming a North Carolina Medical Assistant

Step 1 – Make Your Decision About Whether or not to Get Certified

The state of North Carolina does not have a regulation for the state’s medical assistants to become certified to be employed or work as medical assistants. But, it is become very clear what the advantages are to be certified. From higher salaries to better chances of employment, it is an easy choice for many. But, it is important to also know that many employers across the state of North Carolina do not require it and do hire non-certified employees.

Step 2 – Make a Plan for Your Level of Training

If you want to be a medical assistant in the state of North Carolina, you must finish a certificate program or earn your associates degree. If you want to know the advantages to either level of education, see our article here.

Step 3 – Only Register for Accredited Programs for Medical Assisting in North Carolina

With the Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs and the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools being the main accrediting bodies for students in medical assisting school in North Carolina, only those students who fully complete their education will be able to test for certification after graduation.
