Make a Plan for Your Level of Training
If you want to be a medical assistant in the state of North Carolina, you must finish a certificate program or earn your associates degree. It is important to make the decision before you look at schools. Associate degree programs take 2 years and certificate programs can be between 6 and 18 months. Both levels of education will be sufficient to become a trained medical assistant in North Carolina.
