Tips to Become a Massachusetts Medical Assistant

Massachusetts does not require certification for their medical assistants to work in the state as medical assistants. Step 1 – Make a Plan to get Certified or Not

Even though it is not required by the state of Massachusetts and law to be certified to be employed as a medical assistant it is something that is becoming the new “normal”. The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs and the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools. Step 4 – Meet the Demands for Clinical Training for Certification Eligibility

Graduation from an accredited medical assistant class is critical, as you won’t be able to move forward to the next step without having done so. Programs in Massachusetts require you to finish a minimum number of instruction hours in a clinical setting.

You will not be able to take a certification test until you have completed all of the required hours.
