Step 4 – Finish all mandated Kentucky clinical training hours

Completing your Kentucky medical assistant training program is an essential first step, but to go forward with the certification process every program requires that would-be medical assistants finish a set number of instruction hours in a clinical environment.

You are not eligible to challenge a certification exam unless you have completed the mandatory hours.
