All (MAs) Medical assistants in Idaho are unlicensed professionals who perform assistive duties and tasks in either physicians’ offices or medical facilities and institutions. They are always under the direct supervision of licensed medical professionals at all times. Prospective MAs in Idaho must have either their high school diploma or GED equivalent. All working medical assistants in Idaho do not need to be certified, however, the Idaho State Board of Medicine also states that employers may only looking to hire medical assistants that are certified by one of the national agencies.

Step 4 – Complete Hours of Required Training

Finish your clinical training hours and finish your approved training programs to be on your way to success in medical assisting.

These mandated hours need to be met before you are permitted to take any of the national certification tests.

Step 5 – Pass Certification Test in Idaho to Complete the final Step
