Step 3: Complete your NY HHA training class and required hands-on training

After you have passed your approved HHA training in NY, the State of New York department of Health or the New York State Education Department requires that you train for 75 classroom hours and 16 clinical hours before becoming eligible for the taking of the New York HHA certification test in New York State.
