How to become an EMT in Tennessee

Step 1: Meet all the Requirements for Your Program and Training
There are a few demands that come from the TN Dept. of Health for starting in EMT training in Tennessee. We go through them below:

After getting your certification as a EMT, you will have to get your license with the state of Tennessee by applying to the board. Then you will have to get listed on the EMT registry with the NREMT. There are fees that come with both applications (license and registry). All candidates will have to pass a background check (candidates must explain in writing any convictions) and not have any substance related issues within the past 3 years. After passing the certification exams, candidates have 24 months to get their license.
