Step 2: Fulfill all Training Demands and Finish the Program

To move on towards certification in Texas, candidates will have pass accredited pharmacy tech training or get approved on the job training in the state of Texas. After that, they will have to register for the ExCPT or the PTCE exam (you choose which one to take).

Step 3: Successfully pass the PTCE or ExCPT examination

After registering for the exam of your choosing (PTCE or ExCPT) and passing on of the tests, you can register with the Texas Pharmacy Board and actually become a certified pharmacy technician in the state of Texas.
