The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) and the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) are the two national options for certification in Oregon. Step 4 – Courses for Medical Assisting in Oregon Have Clinical Training Mandates

Finishing your authorized Oregon medical assistant training program is imperative, since you will not be able to advance to the next step without having done so. But, you also have to finish your clinical training requirements.

You are not eligible to sit for any certification test unless you finish the hours stipulated by the respective program.
