Step 3 – Meet the individual training requirement for Maine
After completing your training course in the State of Maine, you will be required to also complete 180 hours in the classroom and another 70 hours of hands-on clinical instruction. Once you have done so you can take the certification test.
Step 4 – Pass Maine CNA competency test
The official nurse aide certification examination used in Maine is the Maine CNA competency test. This exam requires test takers to finish a segment consisting of written questions, in addition to a clinical demonstartion of your skills as a nursing assistant.
